ASTROMET VII is a pendant made of seven chrome ball-shaped shades, open at the bottom. Each hangs on its own cable from a single round ceiling plate, and together they form a tight cluster. One shade measures 11.5 cm across and 13 cm high. How it hangs The cables are 120 cm long measured from the ceiling plate, so the fitting occupies a 1.2 m band below the ceiling. Over a dining table that puts the lower edges of the shades roughly where the light reaches the tabletop — compare that length with the distance from your own ceiling to the surface below it. The shades hang at different levels, forming a cascade rather than one flat plane, so the cluster reads as a single body rather than seven points in a row. The whole fitting weighs 2.5 kg and feeds from one ceiling plate. Seven lamps you have to buy separately There are seven lampholders under the shades. The manufacturer specifies them as LED E27 and rates each at up to 11 W; no lamps are supplied, and the product sheet names its own light source G13014 for them. The fitting dims, but only with a suitable light source — you need a lamp described as dimmable and a dimmer in the circuit. It runs directly on 230 V mains and neither has nor needs a driver. Finish and where to hang it The shades are metal with a mirror chrome finish, and their interiors throw the light downwards onto the surface below. With seven balls that means seven separate pools of light rather than one even wash.
