Bloom 4 Multicolour is a pendant light built from four glass globes set on a brushed brass stem. Three shades are tinted glass — amber, smoke and a powder pink — and the fourth is white. The whole fitting hangs from the ceiling on a cable finished with a brass ceiling cup. How big it is and how much room it needs The body of the light fits inside a 46 × 46 cm square, and the drop from the ceiling to the bottom edge of the lowest globe is 120 cm. The rigid element carrying the globes accounts for 48 cm of that; the cable makes up the rest and can be shortened, but by an electrician during connection rather than by the user afterwards. Above a dining table with a top at 75 cm, the bottom edge of the shade should sit 70–80 cm above the table — work back from that when deciding the final drop. The light weighs 2.45 kg. Connection and mounting The fitting runs on 230 V mains and its terminal block has three terminals: live, neutral and protective earth. An earth conductor has to be present at the mounting point — without earthing the light must not be connected. Connection to the installation is an electrician's work. Mechanically it hangs on a bracket screwed to the ceiling with two screws and wall plugs, so a drill is needed for the holes.
