The five-ring s.luce Ring is a set of five illuminated hoops hung one below another on a single shared canopy. The diameters step down — 150, 120, 100, 80 and 60 cm — and the brushed aluminium matches the canopy. The fitting arrives pre-assembled and ready to wire. How much room it needs and how far it drops The widest ring is 150 cm across, so the set needs open space — above a 90 cm dining table it reaches well beyond the top. The hoop section itself is slim: 3.3 cm high and 1.3 cm wide, which is why the rings read as lines of light rather than as a solid body. Cable length is set during installation and the whole arrangement drops a maximum of 500 cm. The maker intends this combination for stairwells, galleries, foyers and rooms open to the floor above; shortened, it also works at ordinary ceiling height. How much light five rings give Each ring carries its own LED strip. The manufacturer quotes output per diameter: 6000 lm at 150 cm, 5100 lm at 120 cm, 3400 lm at 100 cm, 2700 lm at 80 cm and 2070 lm at 60 cm — 19 270 lm in total, drawing 219 W. That is main lighting for a large room, not a mood fitting. Colour temperature is 3000 K, a warm white, and colour rendering exceeds Ra 95 — fabric and timber tones look close to how they look in daylight. The source is built in: there is no lamp to change, and the maker has the LED strip replaced by its own technicians. Rated life is 25 000 hours. Dimming and wiring The light dims steplessly from 0 to 100 %, but an external leading- or trailing-edge dimmer is required — the fitting has no control of its own and the maker defines no dimming steps. Supply is 230 V, and protection class I means the circuit has to carry an earth conductor. The energy efficiency class is F and the maker states 15 000 switching cycles.
