The Zambelis is a pendant lamp built as a closed ring 80 cm across. The profile is aluminium in a matt gold finish, and the light leaves through an acrylic diffuser running the whole way round. The ring hangs on thin cables from a round canopy 25 cm in diameter and 5 cm deep. How much room it takes and how high to hang it Eighty centimetres of diameter is the figure to compare with the width of your table top or the free ceiling area — a ring this size draws the centre of the room rather than acting as a point accent. Total height is 200 cm and the 200 cm suspension cable is adjustable, so the drop is shortened during installation. Over a table it is usually set so the bottom edge of the ring sits 70–80 cm above the top — the light then covers the whole surface without shining into the eyes of anyone seated. How much light it gives and how it dims The fitting puts out 4398 lm, roughly what five old 60 W bulbs produced — that is main-room lighting, not just mood light. 3000 K is a warm white, and the manufacturer states a 360° distribution: the ring lights downwards and upwards, so part of the output comes back off the ceiling. Brightness can be adjusted, but it needs a TRIAC phase-cut dimmer — that is the only dimming method the manufacturer names. Supply is 220–240 V, and protection class I means the connection has to include an earth conductor. Light source and lifetime The LED is built in permanently — there is no lampholder and no bulb, so nothing has to be bought and nothing can be replaced later. The manufacturer states L70B50 30 000 h: after that time the module still delivers at least 70% of its original output, which at three hours a day works out at roughly 27 years. Colour consistency of SDCM below 2 means the shade of white does not shift along the ring — on a single continuous band of light a difference would show immediately.
