Zambelis 20121 is a pendant built from a single slim rod: an aluminium-and-acrylic profile 1.6 cm across and 80 cm long, finished in matt black. It hangs from a thin cable emerging from a cylindrical canopy 5.5 cm across and 15 cm tall. How low it hangs The suspension cable is 150 cm and adjustable, and the rod itself adds another 80 cm. Fully let down, the bottom end of the fitting sits about 245 cm below the ceiling — a figure to compare with the height of your own room, because at a standard ceiling height the fitting would then reach almost to the floor. The drop is therefore shortened to the length you need. Above a kitchen island the bottom of the rod is usually set 70–80 cm above the worktop, so that the fitting lights the surface without entering the line of sight of anyone sitting opposite. How much light it gives The built-in LED module draws 12 W and delivers 960 lm — roughly what one traditional 60 W bulb gives. This is supplementary light: a single fitting will not light a whole room, and the manufacturer shows it in groups of several. 3000 K means warm white light with a slightly yellow cast. Ra 80 is enough for living spaces but not for places where colours have to match exactly, such as a mirror or a work surface. The fitting is not dimmable and the LED module cannot be replaced — the manufacturer rates it at L70B50 36,000 hours, after which output has fallen to 70% of its initial value. Power and installation The fitting runs on 230 V and is safety class I: it requires the protective earth conductor to be connected, so the ceiling point must be earthed. Connecting it to the installation is work for an electrician. The fitting is for indoor use only. The manufacturer gives a 3-year warranty. The package measures 85 × 13 × 10 cm and weighs 1 kg gross — the box length follows from the rod shipping in one piece. Variants and combinations The manufacturer also makes the same vertical rod in Gold Matt under code 20122, and the same family includes the horizontal versions 20119 and 20120.
