The Hellvik 2406GR is a 55 cm Norlys garden post light built from powder-coated cast aluminium in graphite RAL 7016. Norlys classifies it as a post light fixture for gardens, private grounds and architectural projects — this is landscape equipment with a contemporary outline, not street lighting. Light shielded from above The head is closed at the top and the light leaves through a structured, UV-stabilised transparent polycarbonate lens. The result is soft, diffused light thrown downward and to the sides with no glaring point in the line of sight. Upward emission is just 3% (ULOR) and the BUG rating of B1-U2-G1 confirms low glare and low skyglow — which matters if the post stands under a bedroom window or beside dark countryside. Light output The LED module draws 9.9 W and produces 1691 lm, of which 1537 lm actually leaves the luminaire. Norlys publishes both figures separately so the source flux is never confused with the luminaire flux. Total luminaire wattage is 11.9 W, giving an efficacy of 129.2 lm/W. The 3000 K colour temperature reads warm and flatters foliage and timber, colour rendering is CRI 70 and colour consistency sits inside an SDCM5 ellipse. Rated life is quoted to the stricter L90B10 standard at more than 100,000 hours — after which the fitting still delivers 90% of its original output. DALI2 control and wiring The fixture runs on DALI2, so it dims and joins lighting scenes together with the rest of the garden installation, without a separate wireless controller. Supply is 220–240 V, protection class I, with connection terminals up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and the option to loop the supply onward; the gland accepts round cable up to 12.5 mm in diameter. A single B16A breaker will carry 30 of these fittings and a C16A will carry 51, which makes a long run along a driveway easy to plan. Norlys also approves the fitting for emergency installations on direct current, 176–276 V DC. Durability and installation IP65 sealing protects against water jets and dust, IK08 impact resistance corresponds to a 5 J strike, and the −20 to +45°C operating range covers a northern winter. Sealing is by silicone gasket. Fastening elements are included: four zinc-coated L-type threaded rods M6x150x75, four M6 DIN 934 A-2 nuts and four Ø6 DIN 125 A2 flat washers. The ground anchor (index 209GA0009) and the adapter for a concrete foundation (209GA0S09) are separate accessories and must be ordered on their own. Both the LED module and the driver are replaceable by a qualified professional and are stocked by Norlys as service parts.
