Cowley plaster wall lamp 230 V LED G9 2x5 W

Cowley is a plaster wall lamp with a flat oval body that throws light in two directions — up and down. The body is white and matt, and its underside is closed with a satin glass panel. The top edge stays open, so part of the light travels onto the wall above the fitting. How big Cowley is and how it mounts The lamp is 30 cm wide, projects 10.5 cm from the wall and stands 6.5 cm tall. That makes it a narrow horizontal band, one that fits above a door, in a shallow hallway and over a bed head — at shoulder height it stays out of the way. Installation starts with a metal bracket and terminal block screwed to the wall. The body slides onto the bracket and is locked with a screw from below. The fitting weighs 1.3 kg, so ordinary wall plugs hold it. The manufacturer requires at least 0.2 m between the lamp and the surface it lights. How much light it gives Inside are two G9 sockets rated up to 5 W each, intended for LED bulbs. Bulbs are not included, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself — bedrooms and living rooms usually call for 2700–3000 K, warm light. It runs on standard 230 V. The satin glass underneath diffuses the light falling on the wall below, while the open top casts a band towards the ceiling. The result is indirect light that does not glare, because the bulbs sit hidden inside the body. Cowley can be dimmed, provided you fit dimmable G9 bulbs and a dimmer in the circuit. Where it belongs The manufacturer intends it for living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms, and outside the home for hotels and restaurants, where light builds a background rather than serving as the main source. The shape is modern and modernist: an oval with no ornament, one continuous white, no screws visible from the front. Construction The body is cast in plaster, which gives thick matt walls and softly finished edges. The surface takes ordinary interior paint — in the wall colour the lamp merges into it and only the light shows, in a contrasting colour it becomes a feature.
