A 13 × 13 cm square, 5 cm deep The Nora 2473 is a facade wall light shaped as a flat block: 13 cm to a side with a projection of only 5 cm. The body is cast aluminium painted graphite (code GR), and the only openings are two narrow slots — top and bottom — closed with satin glass. A silicone gasket seals the interior, which is what gives the fitting its IP65 rating. Light up and down, half each way The fitting emits in both directions, and the manufacturer quotes a ULOR of 50% — exactly half the output goes up, half goes down. On a facade that produces a symmetrical drawing: two soft triangles of light above and below the fitting, picking out the texture of render or brick. The satin glass diffuses the output, so no bright point is visible and the fitting does not dazzle even looked at head-on. Why 15.3 W yields 613 lumens Those two numbers deserve an explanation, because at first glance they look weak. The LED module itself draws 11.4 W and produces 1968 lm at an efficacy of 172.6 lm/W — a very good figure. What leaves the fitting, though, is 613 lm, or 40.1 lm/W. The difference is not a loss to poor quality but a consequence of the design: the narrow slots and satin glass deliberately hold most of the output back so that what escapes is soft and glare-free. A facade light of this kind exists to build atmosphere and draw the architecture, not to light a driveway. DALI2 control The fitting carries a DALI2 driver, so it supports the digital control protocol used in smart and commercial installations. That allows dimming and switching from a building management system, addressing of individual luminaires, and scene building. In a domestic installation with no DALI bus the fitting simply works as on/off. Durability and mounting IP65 means full dust-tightness and resistance to water jets; IK09 means high mechanical strength, which matters on a facade reachable from the pavement. The operating range runs from −20 to +45 °C. The fitting is secured with two screws through ø5 mm holes at 63 × 112 mm centres. Terminals accept conductors up to 5 × 2.5 mm² and loop-through up to 5 × 1.5 mm²; the gland takes round cable of ø7–10.5 mm. Class I requires an earth connection.
