Sande 4083BL is an outdoor LED spotlight in a black cylindrical housing of powder-coated cast aluminium. The body is 19 cm long and 10.5 cm across, and it sits on a knuckle joint with a thumbscrew that sets the tilt in the vertical plane. Two mountings come in the box: a ground spike and a flat base for permanent installation. Mounting and wiring The spike is pushed into soil and the base is screwed down where the fitting has to stay put, so a bed and a paved terrace are covered without an extra part. The joint locks with the thumbscrew, so the beam can be aimed at a wall, at a tree trunk or down onto a path and it holds that setting. The luminaire arrives with 5 m of H05RN-F 3G1 cable already fitted and no plug; the tail is terminated in an installation box chosen for outdoor conditions. The three-core cable goes with protection class I: the circuit has to carry a protective earth. Any further mounting accessories are sold separately. How much light Sande 4083BL gives The built-in LED module draws 8.4 W and puts out 703 lm, about what an old 60 W bulb gave, concentrated in a symmetrical 40° beam. That angle lights a section of a facade or a single plant rather than a whole garden; a wider wall usually takes several fittings side by side. 2700 K is warm, slightly yellow light close to a traditional bulb, and Ra 90 keeps render, brick and foliage in their own colour under it. The fitting dims on the trailing edge (TE), so it needs a dimmer working in that mode, and Norlys names the Philips Xitanium TE driver. The LED module and the driver are replaced by a professional, not by the user, and the manufacturer rates them at 109,000 h and 50,000 h. Build and resistance The body is powder-coated cast aluminium, the front is closed with clear safety glass, and a silicone gasket and a nylon-6 cable gland seal it. IP65 means full dust protection and protection against water jets, so the fitting can stay in the garden all year; IK08 is impact resistance to 5 J, which matters on a luminaire standing at ankle height. Norlys intends this spotlight for lighting private grounds, parks and architectural features.
