The PROFI 3Y LED strip is a five-metre reel carrying 600 2835 SMD diodes — 120 per metre — on a flexible 10 mm circuit board. It emits a warm 3000 K light, and the back is covered with double-sided thermally conductive adhesive tape. How much light it gives and how true the colours are Each metre delivers 850 lumens, so the full reel comes to 4250 lumens spread over five metres. This is line light, even along its whole length rather than a row of points — at 120 diodes per metre the individual dots merge a few centimetres from the strip. 3000 K is a warm white with a faintly yellow cast, and a colour rendering index of Ra 90 means goods, fabric and wood keep almost their daylight colours. That matters wherever colours have to agree: under kitchen cabinets, in a wardrobe and over a worktop. Power supply and cutting The strip runs on 12 V DC, so mains use calls for a driver at that voltage, sized for the length installed: the full reel draws 48 W and each metre 9.6 W. Luminous efficacy is 89 lm/W. The strip is cut every 25 mm, which is every three diodes, at the marks printed on the circuit. The board is 10 mm wide and carries 3 oz of copper, which limits the voltage drop over long runs. That 10 mm width governs the choice of profile — the list of compatible LUMINES systems is in the product's technical data. Where it can be installed IP20 restricts the strip to dry interiors — it is not suitable for bathroom protection zones or for outdoor use. The manufacturer gives a working temperature range of −20 °C to 45 °C, so unheated rooms are within it. The declared service life is 35,000 hours to the L70/B50 criterion, the point at which output falls to 70% of the original, together with more than 30,000 switching cycles.
