Santa Air is a set of five flat, half-round shades 11 cm across and 3.2 cm high, each on its own cord under a single round canopy 60 cm in diameter. The metal bodies are matt black and the LED module sits recessed in the underside of every shade. Arranging the five light points The canopy measures 60 cm across and 4 cm high, with the cord exits spread around its circumference. The five shades can therefore be hung in a line, as a cluster or staggered, and each drop is adjusted separately — the arrangement follows the shape of the table rather than the other way round. A single shade is only 11 cm wide, so five points cover a much narrower band than one large shade of the same span. Over a table the lower edge usually hangs 70–80 cm above the top. The fitting is protection class I, so the connection needs an earth conductor — the ceiling box has to have one available. How much light it gives The five LED modules draw 55 W together and deliver 4200 lm, about 840 lm per shade — roughly what an old 60 W bulb produced. Taken together this is the main light for a room, not an addition to another fitting. 2700 K is very warm, with the distinctly yellow cast of a filament lamp. Colour rendering above Ra 92 means food and fabric colours look natural under it. The 40° beam angle keeps the light narrow and downward, so each shade lays its own circle on the table instead of washing the whole room. The light sources are built in — there is no socket and the module is not user-replaceable. The maker quotes 25,000 hours of service, 15,000 switching cycles and energy class G. Dimming and supply The fitting runs on 230 V and dims on a phase dimmer — the maker clears both leading-edge and trailing-edge control, so the choice of dimmer is wider than on fittings tied to one type. No dimmer is included. Where it belongs The form is minimal and modern: smooth discs with no ornament, thin suspensions and a single black finish.
