s.luce Santa Air is a three-light pendant on a flat black bar 120 cm long. Three shallow dome shades 11 cm across hang beneath it on thin cables, and under each one a louvre grid covers the LED module. The housing is metal, finished in black. How big it is and which table it suits The bar measures 120 x 10 cm and is 4 cm thick, so it covers one ceiling outlet and spreads the light to three points along a table. Over a table shorter than 120 cm the bar will overhang it - that is the first figure to compare against your own tabletop. The drop is adjustable and the maximum overall height is 150 cm. The cables are usually shortened so the lower edge of the shades sits 70-80 cm above the top: the light then covers the table without shining into the eyes of anyone seated. The shades themselves are only 3,2 cm high, so they do not block the view across the table. How much light it gives and of what kind The three LED modules draw 33 W together and deliver 2520 lm. That is roughly what three old 60 W bulbs used to give, so the fitting lights the table as the main light rather than merely picking it out. The colour of 2700 K is very warm and clearly yellow, close to the light of a traditional bulb. Colour rendering is above Ra 92 - the colours of food, timber and fabric read almost as they do in daylight. The beam angle is 40 degrees and the shades are opaque and aim the output downward, so each one lays a defined pool of light on the top instead of an even glow across the room. Dimming, supply and installation The fitting dims on a leading- or trailing-edge phase dimmer, that is an ordinary wall dimmer on a 230 V circuit. Controllers for 1-10 V and DALI will not drive it. The dimmer is bought separately - none is supplied. The LED modules are built in and cannot be replaced; the manufacturer rates them at 25 000 operating hours and 15 000 switching cycles. The fitting is built to protection class I and therefore needs an earth conductor at the ceiling point, and ingress protection IP20 means installation in dry rooms only.Mostra di più
