VT-8630S is a round surface-mounted ceiling light, 42 cm across and 6.5 cm deep, with a black rim and an opal PMMA diffuser. Inside works a 36 W Samsung LED module delivering 3820 lm in neutral white 4000 K. The fitting is rated IP44, so it also suits a bathroom. A microwave sensor with a remote — how it works Built in is a microwave sensor running at 5.8 GHz and 5.87 GHz, not an ordinary PIR. Microwaves respond to movement rather than to a temperature difference, so detection works regardless of how warm the room is and needs no direct line of sight. At the recommended mounting height of 3 m the detection radius is 4–5 m, and maximum range reaches 10 m. A remote control is supplied for setting the sensor's behaviour. The modes are OFF (sensor disabled, with a memory function), ON (microwave off, the light stays on continuously) and an automatic mode. Hold time after motion is chosen from 10 s, 30 s, 5, 10, 20 and 30 minutes, and the twilight threshold is set separately — so the light will not come on in daylight even if someone walks beneath it. That matters in a bathroom or a stairwell with a window. 360° output and an opal diffuser The fitting emits spherically, across a full 360° — the whole diffuser is bright, not just its centre. That is typical of dome fittings and means the light spreads very evenly, without hard shadows under the rim. Efficiency is 105 lm/W and colour rendering is above 80. The source is permanently built in The LED module is not user-replaceable — the manufacturer notes that when the source reaches end of life the whole luminaire is replaced (a module swap is possible only by a professional).
