VT-8624 is a round V-TAC surface-mounted ceiling light, 29.5 cm across and only 6 cm deep. A white polypropylene housing covers the LED module, and the entire underside is closed by a milky PMMA (acrylic) diffuser that smooths the diode light into a single, evenly lit disc – no visible dots, and no hard shadow directly beneath the fitting. Light The 24 W module is built on SAMSUNG SMD diodes and delivers 2500 lm at a warm 3000 K. That is enough output to serve as the main light in a bathroom, hallway, corridor or smaller room. Warm white does not sharpen a room the way neutral light does – for morning and evening use it is simply easier on the eyes. Colour rendering above 80 keeps skin and fabrics looking natural, colour stability stays under 6 SDCM, and the fitting is not dimmable. Durability and where it goes An IP44 rating protects the luminaire from solid objects above 1 mm and from splashing water from any direction. That permits mounting in a bathroom outside the direct-splash zones, and equally in a utility room, garage, cellar or under a covered porch. The manufacturer quotes an operating range of −20 to +45 °C, so it also copes with unheated spaces. Installation and operation The fitting mounts on the surface, straight onto ceiling or wall, and connects to 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz mains through a terminal block. The light source is integrated – there are no bulbs to change. Start-up is instant (0.001 s, no warm-up), the manufacturer quotes over 15,000 on/off cycles, which matters where the light is driven by a motion sensor or switched dozens of times a day, and a rated life of around 20,000 hours.
