EMILIA 14347-15 is a round LED ceiling light 40 cm across and only 10 cm deep. The plastic shade is matt grey on the outside and finished in a wood decor on the inside. The light leaves through a white diffuser covering the whole underside. How big it is and where it belongs At 10 cm deep the fitting barely drops below the ceiling, which suits low rooms — a 2.5 m ceiling, or a hallway where a pendant would hang at head height. A 40 cm diameter is the right scale for a room of around fifteen square metres. The fitting weighs 0.97 kg, screws straight to the ceiling and wires into an ordinary 230 V supply. A standard ceiling-box fixing carries that weight. Dimming from an ordinary wall switch The light uses Switchmo: flicking the normal wall switch again in quick succession steps the brightness from 100% to 50% and then to 15%. No dimmer module and no remote are needed, and the wiring accessories do not have to be changed. The lowest step gives so little light that it works for crossing the flat at night. The light it gives The LEDs are built in permanently and cannot be replaced; the light source is included, so nothing has to be bought separately. The module alone draws 29 W, the complete fitting with its driver 32 W. The maker publishes two flux figures: 3400 lm is what the diodes produce, while 1500 lm leaves the fitting through the diffuser — and it is the second number that says how much light reaches the room. 3000 K is a warm white, and the fitting is intended over a dining table and in a living room. Build Both the body and the shade are plastic — the wood here is a decor on the inner face of the shade, not solid material. It shows from below and at an angle, as a warm band running around the rim. The outer face is finished in matt grey.
