Flask Orchid L is a pendant with an opal glass shade in the simplified silhouette of a bottle, designed by Mikołaj Nicer. The glass is milky white and glossy, the cord and the canopy are black, so the whole fitting rests on a single contrast. No brackets or fittings are visible on the shade. How large it is and how to hang it The shade is 27 cm across and 31 cm tall, with the base flattened to 12 cm. That diameter keeps its proportions over a table 80-90 cm wide; the lower edge is usually set 70-80 cm above the top, so the light covers the whole table without shining into the eyes of anyone seated. The overall drop is 220 cm and can be shortened, but the maker states that an electrician does it while wiring the fitting - it is not a tool-free adjustment. The ceiling is covered by a decorative rosette 18 cm across and 3.5 cm deep, with the actual 8 cm ceiling cup hidden inside it, so only the disc shows. The lamp weighs 2.1 kg. What light it gives and what is in the box The fitting takes one E27 lampholder up to 15 W in an LED version, and the light source is supplied and can be replaced. The lamp therefore works as soon as it is mounted, with no bulb to buy. The opal glass is opaque, so it hides the filament and spreads the light softly, without hard shadows on the table. Lit, the shade glows across its whole surface rather than only at the lower edge, so the fitting also works as a source of diffuse light in the room. Which room it suits The maker intends Flask for the living room, the dining room and the kitchen, and the L size above all over a table or as a single point of light in the formal part of a home. The form is minimalist: one glass volume without ornament and the thin black line of the cord standing out against a pale ceiling. The lamp is for dry interiors only and is made in Poland. The Flask collection comes in four sizes, so several can be arranged in a rhythmic run over a longer counter, and the cord colour is chosen separately - Orchid is the version with a black cable.Mostra di più
