THEO 229532 is an SLV outdoor wall light shaped as a narrow aluminium box in a silver-grey finish. It emits in two directions at once: the top and bottom faces each carry their own GU10 socket behind a glass window. The result is a pair of symmetrical cones – one climbing the façade, the other dropping onto the threshold, path or terrace. Up/down distribution By construction this output is both direct and indirect. The downward cone provides working light at a door or gate, while the upward one draws the characteristic tapering mark on the wall – the more textured the surface (brick, render, stone), the harder that effect works. Because the two beams are identical, the fitting also reads as symmetrical by day, switched off. Lamps The luminaire takes two GU10 lamps in the QPAR51 format – the familiar reflector shape, widely available as LED in a range of colour temperatures and beam angles. Each socket is rated for 35 W, so up to 70 W for the fitting as a whole. In practice the beam angle is set by the lamp you choose, which is what governs how wide the two cones spread. Lamps are not supplied; the manufacturer recommends its LED QPAR51 GU10 2700 K reflector, reference 1005077. Durability and installation An IP44 rating protects the interior from solid objects above 1 mm and from splashing water from any direction – the level intended for sheltered and exposed building walls, though not for water jets. Impact class IK02 corresponds to 0.2 joules. The luminaire is protection class I, so installation requires an earth conductor. Supply is 220–240 V, 50/60 Hz. The body stays compact – 7 cm wide, 22.5 cm tall, projecting 7.5 cm from the wall – at 0.83 kg.
