The Coco Shade is a rectangular shade sail measuring 300 × 200 cm, handwoven from coconut fibre in a natural, warm tan. The weave is open, and the edges are bound with a thick rope that ends in loops fitted with metal thimbles, which is where the sail is tied to its supporting structure. Where and how to mount it Bazar Bizar intends it to be stretched or draped over a wooden pergola or a gazebo. Compare the 300 × 200 cm size with the beam spacing of your own pergola: the sail covers 6 m², and the loops around its edge let you tie it at many points. It weighs 4.5 kg, which is the load the structure it is tied to has to carry. The same family also includes larger rectangles of 400 × 300 and 500 × 300 cm, a 300 × 300 cm square and a 350 × 350 cm triangle. The material and the light beneath it The fabric is about 3 cm thick and some sunlight passes through the gaps in the weave, so the sail casts a dappled, broken shade rather than full cover. Because every piece is woven by hand, the tone and the regularity of the weave vary slightly from one sail to the next. It is made in Vietnam. How to look after it The manufacturer allows outdoor use but advises avoiding moisture that stays trapped for long periods and storing the sail dry when it is not in use, to keep the fibre strong. Dust comes off with a soft brush or cloth; for heavier dirt use a damp sponge with mild soap, then let the sail dry fully.Mostra di più
