The Markslöjd TIP is a small pendant from the TIP series: a conical iron shade 19 cm across and 16 cm high, polished to chrome, hung on a transparent cable below a chrome ceiling cup. The whole shade is mirrored, and its inside is lighter than the outer wall.How low it hangs and how much room it needsThe cable is 150 cm and the shade itself 16 cm high, so at full length the bottom edge sits 166 cm below the ceiling. Compare that with your room height and with whatever stands under the lamp: over a table top the shade is usually hung 70–80 cm above it, and under a 250 cm ceiling the full cable brings it considerably lower.The fitting weighs 0.47 kg and hangs from a ceiling hook, wired at terminals. Protection class I means a PE earth conductor has to be present at the box.Which bulb to buyNo bulb is included. The fitting takes one E14 lamp up to 40 W, or its LED equivalent, on a 230 V supply — so you choose the colour and the brightness yourself. The manufacturer states the lamp can be dimmed provided the bulb is described as dimmable; a dimmer is needed as well.The shade is opaque and narrows towards the top, so light leaves only downwards, in a tight cone onto the surface below.
