Gota is a small hanging lamp with a shade of green pressed glass whose lower edge is scalloped into petal shapes. The lampholder is metal in an antique brass finish, and the supply cable is a beige twisted textile cord. The manufacturer designed it as a window lamp — hence the plug and the switch on the cable. How big it is and where to hang it The shade measures 13 cm across and 13 cm deep, and the whole fitting stands 17 cm high. At 0.86 kg it hangs where there is no substantial fixing point — above a windowsill, in a window reveal or over a shelf. It hangs from a bracket with three screw holes, fixed to the window frame, reveal or ceiling. The low body does not block the view, so it suits a window where a taller fitting would be in the way.
