Lucide VOLANTIS 27807/01/30 is an outdoor wall light shaped as a black cylinder 10.8 cm across, seated on a rectangular plate that is fixed to the wall. The aluminium is powder-coated in matt black. Light leaves the fitting only at the bottom, through the glass in the base of the cylinder. How big it is and how it fixes The fitting is 18.2 cm tall and stands 14.6 cm off the wall face — that second figure is the one to compare with the width of the passage along the wall you have in mind. The cylinder itself measures 10.8 cm in diameter. The mounting plate measures 10 × 12 cm and is 2.5 cm thick, black like the rest of the fitting. Installation materials are supplied, and the complete fitting weighs 0.98 kg. The height is not adjustable: the manufacturer gives one fixed height of 18.2 cm. What light it gives The fitting holds one E27 socket for a lamp of up to 40 W. No bulb is supplied, so you choose the colour and brightness yourself, and years later only the lamp is replaced rather than the whole fitting. The light falls straight down along the wall instead of spreading sideways. The manufacturer also intends fittings like this to be mounted in a row — set side by side they draw repeating pools of light on a facade. What has to be bought alongside, and where it may work IP54 means protection against dust and against splashing water from any direction, so it can go on a facade or a garden wall with no additional cover. The fitting is electrical class I, so the installation has to bring an earth conductor to it. Normally the fitting is switched by an ordinary wall switch. Dimming is possible, but the fitting carries no electronics for it: a separately bought dimmer and a lamp described as dimmable are both needed.Mostra di più
