TAGALOG is a pendant light with a woven cylindrical shade 40 cm across. The shade is black outside and in, and the manufacturer gives bamboo as the material. Cord and ceiling cup are black as well. How big it is and how high it hangs A 40 cm shade keeps its proportions over a table 80–90 cm wide. The drop adjusts between 50 and 160 cm, but Lucide states that the height is set before installation: the cord is shortened once, so measure from the ceiling to the tabletop first. The lower edge of the shade usually sits 70–80 cm above the table. The ceiling cup is 10 cm across and covers a standard installation box. The fitting is class II, so it needs no earth conductor. How much light it gives and what to buy with it The light has one E27 lamp holder rated up to 40 W. No bulb is supplied, so you pick the colour and brightness yourself. For this model Lucide recommends its own G95 decorative lamp at 2200 K — a noticeably warmer, more yellow light than ordinary warm white. The shade throws light mainly downwards through its open base, while the weave lets some through the sides and prints the basket pattern on the wall. It can be dimmed, but that takes two separately bought items: a dimmer in the wiring and a bulb marked as dimmable. The fitting itself has no control on the cord or on the body. Finish and where it fits The shade is woven from bamboo and the metal ceiling cup is matt powder-coated. Lucide files the model under Japandi: natural weave against an unbroken black finish, with no ornament and nothing glossy. It is intended for the living room, dining room and kitchen, above the table, and for indoor use only.
