IPSOS from the Belgian brand Lucide is a cordless lamp – a slim aluminium cone 22 cm tall on a base of just 6 × 6 cm, in a matt taupe finish. Battery powered, not mains This is the defining feature of the model and easy to miss: the lamp has a built-in battery and charges over a USB cable. Only the cable is supplied – no mains adapter – so you charge it from any USB charger, a power bank or a computer port. In practice that means the lamp can stand on a table, a windowsill or a terrace without regard for a socket, and be moved somewhere else afterwards. Touch dimmer Brightness is set by touching the lamp itself – there is no inline switch and no need for a wall dimmer. The light points downwards at 60°, so it lights the surface rather than the room: a lamp for reading, for a desk, for mood beside a bed. Light output The integrated LED module gives 250 lm from 3 W at a warm 2700 K, with CRI 80. Warm 2700 K is evening light, close to a traditional incandescent bulb. Rated life is 20,000 hours and the source is not replaceable – after that the whole lamp is replaced. Energy efficiency class G. Build Body, shade and base are all aluminium in a matt finish; the cable (100 cm, black) is PVC insulated. Electric class 2 – double insulated, no earth. IP20 means dry interiors.
