s.luce Ring LED is a lit ring 80 cm across in a white finish. The profile itself is only 13 mm wide and 33 mm high, and the whole fitting stands 55 mm off the surface — a canopy with spacers holds it, so the ring appears to float. The manufacturer offers it for ceiling and wall mounting alike. How big it is and how it looks once fitted Eighty centimetres across is a main-light dimension: compare it with the width of the table or island the ring is to sit above, and with the clear ceiling area. At 5.5 cm deep the fitting takes no headroom and works under a low ceiling too. The spacers hold the ring off the surface, so part of the light bounces back from the ceiling or wall and draws a bright halo around the fitting. On a wall the same ring reads as a large lit object — the manufacturer sells it for both roles. How much light it gives and of what kind The light source is built in and cannot be replaced: the LED module draws 36 W and is rated for 25,000 hours and 15,000 switching cycles. The module itself is rated 2700 lm while 2222 lm leaves the fitting — it is the second figure that describes brightness in the room, and it matches roughly three of the old 60 W bulbs. 3000 K is warm white, warmer than daylight and calmer than neutral. Colour rendering above Ra 95 means fabrics, wood and food look close to how they look in daylight. A satin acrylic cover sits over the diodes and spreads the light evenly right around the ring. Dimming and connection The fitting dims on a leading- or trailing-edge phase dimmer — a suitable dimmer has to be in the installation and is not supplied. It wires straight to the 230 V cable; a cord to a socket is a separate accessory from the manufacturer. Protection class I means an earth conductor is required.
