CAYMAN 7825 is a Mantra wall light made of a square plate 13 cm on each side with an adjustable reading spot mounted on it. Everything is finished in warm brown with a brushed surface, and two separate switches sit on the plate. Both LED sources are built in permanently — the fitting lights up as soon as it is connected. How big it is and where it belongs The plate measures 13 × 13 cm and, with the spot, the fitting stands 11.6 cm off the wall. That is a size for places where you sit or lie: over a bed head, beside a reading chair, or in a hotel room next to the headboard, where the light replaces a bedside lamp and frees up the nightstand. The fitting weighs 0.6 kg and screws straight onto the wall with no need to reinforce it. The spot turns on a short arm, so the beam can be aimed at the book rather than at the face of whoever lies next to you. How much light CAYMAN gives The fitting combines two sources of 3 W and 6 W that together give 620 lm — one puts out 210 lm, the other 410 lm. Each has its own switch on the plate, so the focused reading light and the soft wall light turn on independently. The narrow tube of the spot gathers the light into a defined pool at book height, while the second source glows from behind the square plate and traces it in light on the wall. 3000 K is warm white, chosen for reading in the evening; a colour rendering index of Ra 80 is enough to tell colours apart in a bedroom. Build and control The body is aluminium and the spot's cover is acrylic. The diodes carry a stated life of 50,000 hours and are permanently built in, which is why the manufacturer covers the fitting with a five-year guarantee. The two switches are set into the plate, so the light needs no separate wall switch — it is operated from where you sit.
