Primarily used for Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), ensuring the safety of electrical equipment and basic electrical testing. Test types: Insulation Resistance - measures the resistance of the insulation between the live and earth, and between the live and neutral conductors. Earth Bond Test - measures the resistance of the earth connection in Class I appliances. Touch Current Test - measures the current that could flow through a person touching the appliance under fault conditions. Continuity Test - checks the continuity of the protective earth conductor. Voltage Measurement - measures the mains voltage. Current Measurement - measures the current drawn by the appliance. RCD Test - tests the operation of Residual Current Devices (RCDs).
