Tall outdoor standing lamp K-8132 black from the BOSTON series
K-8132 from the BOSTON series is a two-arm garden lamp post. The black fluted column tapers towards the top and stands on a profiled base, and two curved arms spring from its head. Each ends in a cone-shaped hood with a clear, ribbed bowl of 26 cm diameter hanging beneath it. How tall it is and where to stand it The manufacturer's dimension drawing gives 233 cm in height, 78 cm across the arms and 27 cm in depth. At that height the light sources sit above eye level, so the lantern lights the ground around it rather than the point beneath it. Compare the 78 cm span with the width of the path or driveway: a post set too close to the edge puts one arm over the lawn. The manufacturer intends it for open ground — the driveway in front of the house and the area by the gate — and as a companion to garden and terrace architecture. The sheet gives neither a weight nor the way the post anchors into the ground. Which lamps you have to buy There are two E27 holders inside the bowls and no lamps are supplied. The colour of the light therefore depends entirely on what you fit: at a warm white 2700 K the lantern gives light close to an old filament bulb, at 4000 K something cooler and more practical. The manufacturer's sheet gives a maximum lamp rating of 15 W LED per holder, which rules out halogen and the incandescent wattages of the past. The two arms cannot be split across two switches — the manufacturer states plainly that no such split is possible, so both bowls always come on together. The bowls are clear rather than opal, so the shape of the lamp stays visible inside them; that is an argument for a bulb whose appearance is meant to be seen. Build and weather resistance The construction combines metal with plastic and is black throughout. Protection rating IP44 means protection against splashing water from any direction — rain falling at an angle does the lantern no harm, but the housing is not rated for a water jet or for flooding.Mostra di più
