The TENORA CL-1 is a flat ceiling light 50 cm across: a black fabric shade over a rigid polystyrene body, closed underneath by an acrylic cover. It stands 17 cm tall and sits against the ceiling — from the side only the fabric shows, with no fixings visible. How big it is and where it belongs Fifty centimetres across is the size of a main light rather than a supplementary one: on the ceiling it occupies a circle the size of a small table top, so it is planned for the middle of a room rather than over one piece of furniture. At 17 cm deep it takes no headroom and suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low. The fitting weighs 1.378 kg net. It connects straight to a 220–240 V installation, with no driver and no transformer — an ordinary mains connection replaces all the electronics here. Three E27 lamps, none of them in the box Inside are three E27 lamp holders rated up to 23 W each, so at most 69 W across the whole fitting. The manufacturer supplies no bulbs, so you choose the colour and the brightness yourself — and three sources instead of one mean the light spreads evenly across the whole face of the shade. SLV recommends its own A60 E27 LED lamps at 7.5 W, 2700 K, with a colour rendering index of Ra 90. Ra 90 is the level at which the colours of fabric and wood read almost as they do in daylight, and 2700 K gives warm, slightly yellow light close to an old filament bulb. How it throws light and what the wiring needs The manufacturer describes the output as direct-indirect: the acrylic cover sends the beam downwards while part of the light leaves at the top and bounces off the ceiling. The ceiling above the fitting therefore does not go dark, and the transition between lamp and ceiling stays soft. The TENORA CL-1 is built to protection class I, so it needs an earth conductor connected — it must not be fitted to an installation without earthing.
