Aldex FIN 3 BRASS M 1120E40_M is a pendant light with three glass globes 20 cm across, set on a vertical rod in a brass finish. The globes are white opal glass, sit at different heights and each faces a different way. Rod, lampholders and ceiling rose share the same brass finish. How it hangs and how much room it takes The whole fitting measures 120 cm in height and comes in two parts: a 69 cm cable and the rigid section carrying the globes, which is 51 cm. The cable can be shortened yourself, so you match the drop to the room height — the 51 cm, by contrast, is fixed. The globes spread across about 46 cm, and that is the width to compare with the table or the spot you have in mind. The ceiling rose is 10 cm across and covers a standard installation box. The complete fitting weighs 2.56 kg. What light it gives The fitting holds three E27 threads. No bulbs are supplied — the manufacturer's instructions list three E27 lamps among the things to have ready for installation — so you choose the colour and brightness yourself. The glass is opal: milky white and opaque, it hides the lamp and spreads the light over the whole surface of the globe. Three globes turned in different directions send light all around rather than in one beam downwards — this is a fitting for over a table or in the middle of a room, not task light for a worktop. Build and variant The structure is metal and the shades are glass; the manufacturer states that the glass comes from a Polish glassworks. The version with M in the code has 20 cm shades; the same series also holds the smaller S version with 14 cm globes, and variants in black and white.
