ATHI is a square wall light in a white housing, screwed flat against the wall. The light does not come out of the front — it leaves through slots along the top and bottom edges and spreads across the wall, as the photograph of the lit fitting shows. The source is a built-in LED module. How big it is and how far it stands off the wall The face measures 15 × 15 cm and the fitting stands 5 cm off the wall. That is a flat body which does not get in the way as you pass — at a front door or in a narrow passage onto a terrace, that matters. The luminaire weighs 0.55 kg, or 0.61 kg packed. How much light it gives, and what kind The LED module draws 9.6 W and delivers 550 lm at 3000 K, warm white close to the light of a traditional incandescent bulb. That much output is enough to mark a wall, a doorway or a flight of steps — orientation light, not lighting for a whole terrace. Because the light runs up and down the wall, the fitting does not shine into the eyes of anyone standing in front of it. The colour rendering index is Ra 80 and the manufacturer states a 20,000 h service life. The LED module is permanently built in: there is no bulb to buy, and none to replace either — once the module is spent, the whole fitting is changed. Where it may be mounted An IP54 rating means protection against dust and against water splashed from any direction, so the fitting may hang on a facade with no canopy over it. The manufacturer intends it for outdoor and indoor use alike — wherever the point is light reflected off the wall. It runs on 230 V, so the fitting is wired permanently into the installation rather than plugged in. The driver sits inside the housing and does not have to be bought separately.Show more
