The V-TAC VT-8143 is a black rechargeable LED light for cabinet interiors, under-cabinet spaces and other narrow furniture zones. Its aluminium bar measures 60 cm long, 4 cm wide and only 0.9 cm high. An integrated PIR sensor is positioned at one end of the light panel. Mounting without a permanent power cable The fitting attaches to two magnetic holders with self-adhesive 3M tape, shown in both the instructions and gallery. The bar can be lifted from the magnets when it needs charging. V-TAC advises against applying the holders to painted surfaces and notes that the tape will have less adhesive strength if it is peeled off and used again. A built-in 3000 mAh lithium battery powers the light during use. It charges from a USB port or a 5 V / 1 A charger; the indicator shows red while charging and green when complete. For the VT-8143, the manual states about 7 hours to charge and 7–8 hours of operation, while noting that actual lighting time varies with the conditions of use. How the motion sensor operates In AUTO mode, the PIR sensor responds to movement only at night or when ambient light is insufficient. V-TAC specifies a 120° detection angle and a distance of 3–5 m. The light switches on automatically after movement is detected, and the VT-8143 table gives a 15-second switch-off delay. These are manufacturer test values; the position of the bar and obstructions within the sensing field can affect its response. The gallery shows the sensor facing the open area rather than being hidden behind a cabinet edge. Light output and integrated LED The module draws 2.5 W and produces 260 lm of neutral white light at 4000 K. Its 180° angle spreads light broadly along a shelf or work surface rather than forming a narrow spot. The fitting is not dimmable and therefore operates at a fixed brightness. The LED is part of the fitting, so there is no separate bulb to buy and no lamp cap. The instructions identify the light source as non-replaceable; once it reaches the end of its life, the entire fitting is replaced. V-TAC lists closets, cabinets, kitchens, living rooms and entrance areas, and states a 20,000-hour service life.Show more
