The VT-1136 is a black solar-powered garden wall lamp for mounting on an outdoor wall. The housing is made of aluminium and PC plastic, and the fixture is switched on by a built-in microwave sensor. How the motion sensor works The microwave sensor covers a 360° range and detects motion 3-4 m away, switching the lamp to full brightness when someone approaches the wall or the path beside it. Once movement stops, the lamp does not switch off immediately — it dims to 10% brightness instead, so the area stays lightly lit rather than going completely dark. How much light it gives and how it's powered The integrated LED source cannot be replaced. It gives 150 lm at 3000K, a warm, slightly yellowish light, with a colour rendering index of Ra 80+. At a power draw of 2.5W, that works out to an efficacy of 60 lm/W. Power comes from a 1.8W (5.5V) solar panel, which charges the built-in 2000mAh (3.7V) lithium battery in 8-10 hours — a full charge runs the lamp for 6-8 hours. Being solar-powered, the lamp needs no connection to the mains. Build and installation The housing carries an IP54 rating, which allows mounting outdoors in a spot exposed to rain and dust, though not to direct submersion in water.
