UEL is a round side table built as one compact cylinder with no legs. The 40 cm top sits on a drum base of the same width, separated from it by a narrow shadow line, and the whole piece is finished in high-gloss lacquer in a light brown mocha shade. How big it is and where it will stand The table measures 40 cm across and 42.5 cm high. That height is worth comparing with the seat of your own sofa or armchair: the top then lands roughly where your hand rests on the arm, so nothing has to be reached down for. The body is solid and meets the floor along its full circle, so it takes up exactly the space you can see — nothing slides underneath and a vacuum head will not pass below it. In exchange there are no legs to catch a foot on, and the table can be pushed right up against the side of a sofa. This is not solid timber but board under a lacquer coat, and its smooth, mirror-like surface shows fingerprints and dust more readily than a matt finish — it is cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
