Sabina Pendant Light - 3 Light Sources - Black Elstead

Name: Sabina Pendant Light - 3 Light Sources - Black Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

The three-light Sabina is a drum pendant by Hinkley: a cylindrical off-white polycotton shade is wrapped in a black steel lattice of interlocking, rounded squares, and a pale diffuser closes the drum underneath. The fitting is distributed by Elstead Lighting and, according to the manufacturer, made in the United Kingdom. Size and hanging height The drum is 37.9 cm across and 33.2 cm tall — a good scale over a round table for four or, as a row of three, over a kitchen island, as in the room photo. It hangs from a rigid rod; two 15 cm and two 30 cm rods are supplied to set the overall height between 47 and 137 cm. Before installing, subtract that figure from your ceiling height to see where the bottom of the drum will end up. At 4.3 kg it needs a secure fixing point in the ceiling. It is Class I and requires an earth connection. Bulbs and light Inside are three E27 sockets for bulbs of up to 60 W each. No bulbs are included; three sources of about 800 lm each add up to the brightness of solid main lighting. The fabric and the bottom diffuser hide the bulbs and soften the light, while the black lattice draws a crisp pattern against the shade, lit or unlit. With dimmable bulbs and a dimmer the brightness can be adjusted. Which rooms it suits The manufacturer lists the living room, bedroom and dining room, and the photo also shows it over a kitchen island. A black geometric pattern on a pale ground is a modernist form with a nod to mid-century motifs.Show more
