Sabina Pendant Light - 4 Light Sources - Black Elstead

Name: Sabina Pendant Light - 4 Light Sources - Black Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

The four-light Sabina pendant is a low, wide Hinkley drum 57 cm across, hung on a rigid rod. An off-white polycotton shade is wrapped in a black steel lattice of interlocking, rounded squares, and a pale diffuser closes the drum underneath. It is distributed by Elstead Lighting and, per the manufacturer, made in the United Kingdom. Over the table and in the living room The drum is 57 cm wide yet only 14.9 cm tall — proportions for a large dining table that seats six, as the manufacturer's room photo shows. The overall height, 29 to 119 cm, is set with the supplied rods: two of 15 cm and two of 30 cm. With a 250 cm ceiling and a 75 cm table, the longest set-up puts the bottom of the drum about 56 cm above the top; shorter ones hang it higher so it does not block the view. The ceiling plate is 14 cm across. The pendant weighs 4.95 kg and needs a secure ceiling fixing; it is Class I with an earth conductor. Bulbs and light The drum holds four E27 sockets for bulbs of up to 60 W each, with no bulbs supplied. Four bulbs of about 800 lm each give enough light for the whole table and its surroundings. Fabric and diffuser hide the sources so the light does not dazzle diners, and with dimmable bulbs and a dimmer it can be lowered for the evening. Style The manufacturer lists the living room, bedroom and dining room. The black geometric pattern on a pale ground is a modernist form; the series includes a flush light of the same diameter and a smaller three-light pendant.Show more
