The s.luce Velo is a pendant light with a shade of hand-blown clear glass. The cut runs vertically over the full height of the shade, and its lower edge stays open. The fitting hangs on a white fabric-braided cable finished with a white ceiling rose. Size and hanging height The shade measures 20 cm across and 20 cm high, and the Ø 12 x 2.5 cm ceiling rose covers a standard installation box. The suspension is 500 cm long, which is what a room open to the floor above calls for: on a gallery, in a hallway or over a flight of stairs the fitting can drop several metres below the ceiling. The cable is shortened during installation, so the same fitting also hangs low over a table. Above a table top the lower edge of the shade usually sits 70-80 cm above the surface.
