The LENS C217CL-15W3K-W is a surface-mounted ceiling light shaped as a shallow cylinder 9 cm across. The body is aluminium finished in matt white, and a recessed convex lens set into its lower edge covers the diodes. The fitting belongs to the Lens series. How big it is and how it goes up The cylinder measures 9 cm in diameter and stands 7.5 cm below the ceiling. Nothing sits inside the ceiling, so the fitting works where there is no depth above the board for a recessed version. In exchange those 7.5 cm stay visible — worth comparing against your own ceiling height. A flat bracket is screwed to the ceiling first, the wires are connected, and only then does the body slide onto it. The LED driver sits inside the housing, so the fitting goes straight onto a 230 V supply with no separate transformer. Protection class II means no earth conductor is required. The LED module cannot be replaced — the manufacturer quotes 30,000 hours of service life. The fitting is not dimmable, so wiring it to a dimmer changes nothing. Where it can be fitted An IP44 rating means protection against splashing water from any direction, which allows mounting in a bathroom — above the basin or beside the enclosure, outside the shower zone itself.
