The MOSS 6772 is a small Norlys garden spotlight in a black die-cast aluminium body closed at the front by clear safety glass. The head sits on a knuckle with a round base plate and swivels once the bolt is loosened, so the direction of the light is set after the fitting is in place. How small it is and where it goes The manufacturer's drawing gives 110 mm height, 88 mm depth and a base plate 70 mm across. This is a fitting that sits in the hand: Norlys designed the Moss family so it can be hidden in planting and the light becomes the visible thing rather than the source. The maker intends this type for lighting small architecture, individual trees and the garden features meant to stay visible after dark. The base is flat and bolted down, so the spot stands on a terrace, a low wall or a deck — it has no ground spike. How much light it gives and how it is controlled The fitting draws 8 W and puts out 686 lm — the flux of the whole luminaire behind the glass, not the LED module's own figure. An old 60 W bulb gave around 800 lm, so a single Moss is enough to pick out one tree or a section of facade, not to light a whole garden. 3000 K is warm white, which does not bleach out foliage or pale render. The fitting is dimmable: Norlys describes the Moss family as using phase dimming, so control calls for a suitable dimmer in the installation rather than a plain switch. Durability and connection An IP65 rating means dust-tight and protected against water jets, so the fitting stays outside all year, through rain and through hosing down the terrace. The body is powder-coated die-cast aluminium in black RAL 9005 and the lens is safety glass. A three-core H05RN-F 3G1 cable 3 m long leaves the fitting and is connected in a suitably chosen installation box — the box is not supplied and is chosen to suit the mounting position.
