LUMINES MODI is a black lacquered aluminium mounting profile, sold here as a 1 m section. It is not a luminaire and not a profile you lay a strip into for display — the manufacturer designed it as a supplement to the INSO and iLEDO architectural profiles. The cross-section is flat and rectangular, with snap grooves on both sides. Cross-section dimensions and section length The profile measures 38.6 mm across and 9.6 mm high, and its inner channel is 30.8 mm wide. That 9.6 mm is also the layer created underneath the main profile — compare it with the height of the power supply you intend to hide there. Compare the 38.6 mm width with the space left along the line of your planned installation. This version is the one-metre section. The manufacturer also lists the same profile at 2.02 m and 3 m, and up to 6 m to order, and states that sections can be joined — a longer run is therefore assembled from several pieces. What the profile works with MODI is intended for the INSO and iLEDO systems. Its job is to hide the mounting power supply in the space between the main profile and the mounting profile, so the supply does not need a separate place beside the installation. The manufacturer allows the power supply to sit either inside the profile or outside it. The main profile, the LED strip and the power supply are separate products — what you buy here is the mounting rail itself. Mounting and finish The manufacturer provides for surface and suspended mounting. The profile is made of aluminium coated in black lacquer, uniform along its whole length.
