Bray Wall Sconce - 1 Light Source - Black by Elstead

Name: Bray Wall Sconce - 1 Light Source - Black by Elstead
Brand: Elstead Lighting

Bray by Hinkley is a black swing-arm wall light: a conical shade on a slim, jointed arm mounted on a rectangular wall plate. The shade swivels and the arm folds, so the light goes exactly where it is needed. The on/off switch is hidden in the fitting. It is distributed by Elstead Lighting. Arm reach and dimensions The light is 42.5 cm high with a 14 cm shade. With the arm fully extended it reaches 47 cm from the wall — worth comparing with the distance from the wall to the middle of the bed or armchair it will light. It weighs 1.88 kg. Bulb and power It has an E27 lampholder for a bulb of up to 60 W; no bulb is supplied, so you choose the colour and brightness — for reading, a warm white of 2700–3000 K is the usual pick. It works with dimmable bulbs: dimming needs such a bulb and a dimmer switch. The hidden switch lets you turn it on without reaching for the wall switch. It is a Class I fitting — it must be connected to earth — and is for indoor use. Where it works The movable arm and opaque shade with its white interior direct the light as a focused beam, which is why the manufacturer names Bray for bedsides and reading corners, in homes and hotel rooms alike. The catalogue also assigns it to living rooms, bedrooms, studies, hallways and dining rooms. Form Black painted steel, a plain cone and a thin arm make a modernist fitting, sparing in detail and free of ornament.Show more
