ACATEN Luces Exclusivas LE43570 gold crystal pendant lamp, 6 x E14, 50 cm
ACATEN is a pendant lamp 50 cm across, in which a gold crown of vertical aluminium blades covers two descending rows of clear crystal prisms from above. It hangs on wires gathered into a round ceiling rose, with the supply cable running down the centre.How big it is and how high to hang it The body alone is 39.5 cm tall, while the whole fitting with its suspension measures 120 cm. Read those two figures separately: the first says how much of the view the lamp occupies, the second gives the maximum drop from the ceiling. Over a table the suspension is usually shortened so the lower edge of the crystals sits 70–80 cm above the top. At 50 cm across the fitting is wide, so under a ceiling lower than 2.6 m it is worth checking how much of those 120 cm can actually be used.Which bulbs it needs The fitting has six E14 sockets and the manufacturer gives a maximum of 5 W per source, so up to 30 W in total. That limit rules out traditional candle bulbs, which start at 25 W; only LED sources belong in this lamp. Bulbs are not supplied, so colour and brightness are yours to choose. The fitting has no built-in driver or controller, so dimming depends on a bulb described as dimmable together with a separate dimmer.Build The construction combines aluminium with cut crystal: the gold blades form a rigid crown, and below it the prisms hang in two overlapping rows that narrow towards the bottom. Crystal refracts the light, so the fitting throws fine glints onto the ceiling and walls rather than an even wash. The gold finish covers every metal part, from the ceiling rose to the blades of the crown. The manufacturer lists ACATEN in several versions, which is why the symbol LE43570 is what separates this one from the rest.Show more
