The VT-81005 is a round motion sensor in a flat, white PC plastic housing, 115 mm in diameter and 24.3 mm high. It detects movement using infrared (PIR) technology and is surface-mounted on a ceiling. What it works with and what load it takes The sensor is wired in series into the lighting circuit, between the power supply and the fixture, and switches it like a motion-triggered switch. It runs on AC 220-240V, 50/60Hz and carries a load of up to 1000W LED — enough for several fixtures on one circuit, though on a larger installation their combined wattage needs to be checked against this limit. Range and lighting time Detection covers a full 360° around the sensor, with an adjustable range of 2 to 6 m (diameter), and the detected motion speed falls between 0.6-1.5 m/s. The light-on time after motion is detected can be set from about 10 seconds to 15 minutes, and the twilight threshold from under 3 to 2000 lux — so the sensor can be set to switch the light on only after dark, ignoring movement during the day. Mounting The IP20 rating limits mounting to dry indoor spaces. The housing is surface-mounted on the ceiling, without recessing into the surface. Wiring it requires access to the cables feeding the fixture — the sensor itself has no battery and does not work without a connection to the mains wiring.Show more
