RUNO is a deep aluminium profile for installation in the floor — it is recessed into a groove routed in the screed or board so that the cover finishes flush with the surface. This variant is 2.02 m long with a silver anodised finish. What a floor profile is for The profile's job is to turn an LED strip into a finished building element. A strip stuck straight onto a surface is visible, unprotected and lights unevenly; inside a profile it becomes a straight, continuous line of light, gains mechanical protection, and gets heat sinking that genuinely extends diode life. In a floor there is one more thing: the profile transfers load to the screed rather than to the strip. The section depth is deliberate At 20 × 17.5 mm the section is markedly taller than a surface-mounted profile. That depth sets the diodes back from the cover, so light emerges as one even line rather than a row of visible dots — which matters most in a floor, seen close up and at a shallow angle. The beam direction is perpendicular to the surface. Impact and sealing The profile is rated IK07 for impact. Fitted with the TERRA cover the assembly reaches IP54, which admits it to areas of raised humidity — bathrooms, pool surrounds, entrances. The manufacturer also offers sealing to IP68. A practical note: the cover is not part of the profile and is ordered separately (TERRA milky PC, 2 m: 11-3041-20). Without a cover the profile has no declared sealing rating. What RUNO does not do It is not drive-over rated — it is not intended for car or forklift wheels; Lumines makes separate drive-over profiles for that. Nor is joining lengths into one continuous run provided for, so longer routes are planned as separate lengths or ordered cut to size up to 6 m. The driver mounts outside the profile, which must be allowed for in the floor design — accessible space for the driver and a route for the cable are both needed. Installation The profile presses into the prepared groove; the manufacturer also permits double-sided tape and construction adhesive. It accepts LED strip up to 10 mm wide. End caps with a cable knockout are ordered separately. The uses Lumines names are decorative floor lighting in offices, hotels and bathrooms — a guiding line along a corridor, the outline of a threshold, a lit step. Variants RUNO comes in three finishes — silver anodised, white lacquered and black lacquered — in 1 m, 2.02 m and 3 m lengths, and to order up to 6 m.
