Lysfjord 6404BL is a large facade wall light: a black cylinder 15 cm across and 43 cm tall, carried on a square bracket that holds it 20 cm off the wall. Lenses of optical glass sit in the top and bottom faces of the cylinder. Two LED modules work inside it. Two narrow beams: up and down The fitting emits at 4° in each direction — a beam as narrow as a pencil. On a facade it draws two sharp vertical streaks running up and down from the fitting rather than lifting the light level around it. The manufacturer intends it for lighting wall surfaces, facades and architectural detail. The optic explains a figure that looks like a mistake: the LED modules produce 4144 lm, but only 78 lm leave the fitting through those narrow lenses. It draws 26,5 W, of which 22,5 W goes to the light source. This is light for drawing lines on masonry, not for lighting a driveway. The ULOR value is 50%, so half the output goes upward — worth checking where rules on limiting light pollution apply. Size and mounting The cylinder weighs 6,73 kg, so the wall has to carry it and the fixings must suit the material. It mounts with two screws through ø5 mm holes at 73 × 154 mm spacing. The terminals take up to 5 × 2,5 mm², and the fitting can be looped through to the next one with 5 × 1,5 mm² — a run along a facade is then fed and controlled by a single cable. DALI2 control Brightness is controlled over the DALI2 bus; the fitting also supports NightDim (4DIM), an automatic reduction of output during the night hours. The driver is programmed for the maximum permitted current, and other parameters are set by Norlys. Control requires a DALI installation — an ordinary wall dimmer will not work. Operating conditions and life IP65 protects the fitting against dust and a water jet from any direction, and IK08 against impact. The operating temperature range is -20 to +45 °C, and protection class I calls for a PE earth conductor. The supply circuit withstands 6/10 kV surges. Norlys rates the driver at 100 000 hours and declares over 52 600 hours to a 10% drop. The light is 3000 K at Ra 80 with SDCM 3 consistency, so neighbouring fittings in a run read as the same tint.Show more
