Steinel IS 3360 DALI-2 Input Device UP is a round recessed motion and presence detector for ceiling installation. Its white plastic housing measures 12.4 cm in diameter and 6.5 cm high, so the ceiling opening and the available void above it should be checked before specifying the unit.Detection for larger interior areasThe passive-infrared sensor covers 360°. At an installation height between 2.5 and 4 m, its tangential detection range reaches up to 40 m in diameter and its radial range up to 8 m in diameter. Steinel identifies halls, warehouses, underground car parks, reception areas and stairwells among the intended locations.The optimum mounting height is 2.8 m. There is also a 3 m diameter presence zone and segment-by-segment masking. This makes it possible to restrict detection in selected directions without moving the detector.For a DALI systemThis is a DALI-2 Input Device powered from the DALI bus at 12–22.5 V; it is not a standalone sensor connected directly to 230 V mains. It sends sensor data to a higher-level lighting-management system and supports three DALI participants. The manufacturer does not confirm a DALI controller or remote control as included equipment.Installation conditionsThe IP20 model is intended for indoor use and operates from −20 to 50°C. Its twilight threshold is adjustable from 2 to 1000 lx, allowing the response to be aligned with the light level in the monitored zone.
