The SALO 3033-113S is a tripod floor lamp 140 cm tall. In place of a shade it carries an open cage of concentric hoops: the outer ones, in cashmere, hold glowing LED ribbons, and a second cage of matt black hoops sits inside them. The three slim legs, tapering toward the floor, are the same cashmere shade. How much room it needs The maker's dimension drawing gives 1400 mm overall height, a cage 545 mm across and 250 mm deep, and 1155 mm legs standing on a 560 mm circle. That last figure is what decides placement: the lamp has no flat base but three feet on a 56 cm circle, so it wants clear floor for exactly that circle rather than for a narrow column. The cage ends about 115 cm above the floor, above the back of an ordinary sofa — the lit body stays in the eyeline of anyone seated. How it lights The built-in LED module draws 48 W and delivers 4900 lm. That is around six old 60 W bulbs, so the lamp works as a room's main light and not only as fill for a reading corner. 3000 K is warm white — warmer than daylight but without a pronounced yellow. The light comes from ribbons run along the hoops and nothing covers them: there is no shade and no diffuser, so what you see is the lit lines themselves rather than a glowing surface. The open structure lets light out sideways and upwards as well. How the brightness changes Dimming works in three steps from a foot switch on the cord. No dimmer has to be bought or wired in — brightness changes with a foot, at the lamp, wherever in the room it stands. Build and colour The structure is metal with plastic parts. The maker describes the colour as cashmere with matt black: cashmere is a warm, muted beige covering the legs and the outer hoops, while the black is left to the inner cage, which gives the lamp depth when it is switched off. The light source is included and permanently built in, so there is nothing to buy alongside it, but nothing to replace once the module is spent either.
