QUADRULO WL is an outdoor wall light shaped like a rectangular lantern: an anthracite aluminium frame holds clear glass panes, and a single E27 lampholder sits in the middle on an arm coming out of the wall. It is a surface-mounted fitting, fixed straight onto the wall. How big it is and where it goes The body measures 29 cm high and 14 cm wide, and it projects 16 cm from the wall. That last figure is the one to compare with the clear width beside a door or a path, because the projection is what a shoulder catches. The fitting weighs 2.261 kg, so the fixing has to suit the wall it goes on. The manufacturer allows through-wiring: the supply cable can be carried through the fitting to the next point on the same facade. With several lights on one wall that removes the need for a separate feed to each of them. Which lamp you have to buy Inside there is one E27 lampholder, and no lamp is supplied — you choose the colour temperature and the brightness yourself. The quoted 15 W is the maximum lamp wattage, not what the fitting draws; SLV's own recommendation is its 7.5 W E27 LED lamps, so the limit does not have to be used up. The manufacturer describes the light output as diffuse, and the clear panes do not aim the beam in one direction. The lamp is visible from outside and becomes part of how the fitting looks, so a decorative bulb with a visible filament reads differently here than a plain frosted one. Outdoor conditions and the electrical connection An IP44 rating means protection against solid objects from 1 mm and against splashing water from any direction. That covers an exposed facade, a terrace or a driveway that gets rained on, but it does not cover jets of water or immersion, so the fitting is not to be cleaned with a pressure washer. The luminaire is class I: an earth conductor is required to connect it, and it must not be used without one. It runs straight off the 220–240 V ~50/60 Hz mains, and the manufacturer's manual states that installation may be carried out only by an approved electrician, in line with local and national regulations.
