NEON-GAMER is a decorative LED panel shaped like a game controller, 60 cm long, 40 cm high and just 1.5 cm thick. It is made of acrylic with coloured light lines set into it in a neon style. Powered over USB The panel runs off a USB cable, not off the mains. The maker supplies the cable but not a power adapter — you need an ordinary USB charger or a free port on a computer or console. That changes the installation: no back box, no electrician, just a socket with a charger within cable reach. Running on USB also means the panel comes on and goes off with whatever it is plugged into — powered from a computer, it goes dark when the computer does. Decoration, not lighting The maker classes NEON-GAMER as a decorative fitting and quotes a luminous flux in the order of a few lumens. That means the panel lights itself: it is a visible, coloured object on the wall, but it will not brighten a room or stand in for a reading lamp. The diodes give warm white light, and the colours come from the acrylic itself — the coloured lines are in the material, not in the source. The whole panel draws 8.5 W. Size and mounting At 60 cm wide the panel takes up about as much wall as a small picture, and at 1.5 cm thick it sits practically flat against the plaster — it does not project like a luminaire and casts no shadow. Acrylic is impact-resistant and light: the whole thing weighs 0.76 kg, so an ordinary wall plug or mounting tape of suitable rating is enough to hang it.
