The VT-8005 is a white adapter that screws into a standard E27 socket and houses an infrared motion sensor with 360-degree coverage. The body combines plastic with an aluminium sensor housing. The adapter accepts a bulb rated up to 60 W.How the motion sensor worksThe infrared sensor covers the full 360° angle around the socket and detects motion up to 6 metres away — a distance worth comparing with the width of a hallway, staircase or driveway where the light is meant to switch on. The twilight threshold is adjustable from 3 to 2000 lux, so the light can be set to react only after dark or during the day as well. The time the light stays on after motion is detected is adjustable from about 10 seconds to 5 minutes, letting the function be matched to the location — shorter by an entrance, longer in a garage, for example.Bulb and installationThe adapter screws into an E27 socket, and a bulb is then screwed into the adapter itself — the bulb is not included, so it needs to be bought separately with the 60 W limit in mind. This lets a motion-sensor function be added to an existing E27 fitting without replacing the whole fixture.Electrical specification and housingThe adapter operates at 230 V, 50/60 Hz. The housing has an IP20 rating, measures 55.5 x 116.5 mm and weighs about 120 g.
