SOLARE Extendable Table, 160–200 cm, Oval, Natural Finish by Nova Nook

Name: SOLARE Extendable Table, 160–200 cm, Oval, Natural Finish by Nova Nook
Brand: Nova Nook

SOLARE is an oval dining table on a single conical pedestal that widens towards the floor. The top and the base are MDF board faced with ash veneer in a natural colour, with the grain clearly visible. The top extends from 160 to 200 cm. How big it is and how much room it takes Closed, the table measures 160 × 100 cm; extended, 200 × 100 cm. It stands 76 cm high, the standard dining table height. When planning the room, work from the extended size: add the chairs to the 200 cm length, plus about 80 cm of clear passage on every side people will walk past. A common rule of thumb is about 60 cm of table edge per adult — worth applying to both lengths. The table stands on one central pedestal, so there are no corner legs in the way when chairs are pushed in. How the extension works The top splits along its middle, and black metal runners of the extension mechanism are visible underneath. Day to day the table stays at 160 cm, and for guests it is lengthened by 40 cm. What it is made of and how to look after it It is built from MDF board with an ash wood veneer, not solid wood — the veneer gives the grain pattern and the board keeps a large top stable. The manufacturer requires coasters or placemats and states that wet or hot dishes should not be placed directly on the top. The table weighs 97 kg, so at least two people are needed to carry it in and set it up, and it is better lifted than dragged across the floor when moved.Show more
